Movie review:
Parents should know that Shashank Redemption is a 1994 Oscar-nominated film based on the story of Stephen King about a man who was sent to a maximum security prison in Maine in the 1950s, which shows solidity to prisoners and gives a  sense of hope and optimism.  Under the most difficult conditions and in the most difficult conditions.  Shashank is in the gritty prison world with sadistic guards, a corrupt guard and fellow hunters.  Prison rape, although not graphically depicted, is heavily implied, with referrals and body positions suggesting forced anal and oral s@x.  A prisoner was beaten to death by a security guard.  A prisoner was shot and killed by a person with a gyun.  There is also a scene where a character passes through a 500-meter sewer pipe filled with feces.  Including "F - K" and its variations, there is also often blasphemy.  However, the film shows the prisoners to create a loving community of friendship and support despite the oppressive circumstances and a sense of perseverance and hope in the darkness of the hours. STORY PLOT

In 1947, Portland, Maine, banker Andy Duffresne is convicted of murdering his wife and loving one and sentenced to two consecutive life terms at the Shashank State Penitentiary. He is friends with prison inmate and smuggler Alice "Red" Redding, who is serving a life sentence. Red buys a rock hammer and a big Rita Hiworth poster for Andy. Assigned to do the laundry of the prison, Andy is often sexually assaulted by the "sisters" and their leader, Boggs.

 In 1949, Andy complained to Guard Captain Byron Hadley that he was being taxed as inheritance and offered to help protect the money legally. After an attack by the sisters, Andy nearly kills, with Hadley beaten and paralyzed Boggs, who is later transferred to another prison. Andy is not attacked again. Director Samuel Norton re-appoints Andy to the prison library and helps elderly prisoner Brooks Hattlen, a front where Andy can handle financial matters for other prison staff, guards from other prisons, and the guards themselves. Andy writes to the state legislature every week asking for money to improve the dilapidated library of the prison.

 Brooks was released on parole in 1954 after serving 50 years, but could not adapt to the outside world and eventually hung himself. The MLA sends a library donation with a recording of The Marriage of Figaro; Andy plays a piece about the public address system and is punished by solitary confinement. After being released from solitude, Andy explains that Hope helps him through his time, a concept that Red rejects. In 1963, Norton began to exploit prison labor for public works, taking advantage of skilled labor costs and receiving bribes. Andy washes the money with aka "Randall Stephens".

 Tommy Williams was charged with theft in 1965. Andy and Red befriend her and Andy helps her pass the GED exam. A year later, Tommy reveals to Red and Andy that his cellmate in another prison claimed responsibility for the murders for which Andy was convicted.
